Where is the real Sage, Tx?

The Corner of County Road 202 and 203 is where a little community named Sage used to function. Now it's just a sign -- one sign with "Entering Sage" on one side and "Leaving Sage" on the other side.

This is also on the North Fork of the San Gabriel River and the intersection of the old Burnet-Lampasas road and the old Austin-San Saba road, eight miles northeast of Burnet in north central Burnet County.

It may have taken its name from the sage grass in the area.
